Hi guys i have just read this book named Dragon's Keep and decided to blog about it because it is a very interesting book that talks about a girl Rosalind and she has a so called curse which is that she has a dragon's talon so keeps this a secret from everyone.Icannot tell you EVERYTHING about this book if not you would'nt even bother to read the book. Well, all i have to say is that this book is about love, fantasy, faith and much more you should read this book.

Oh yes i will be doing afew more of these kind of book reviews....

HIHI people OF N256 THIS IS YOUR still nice, kind, friendly, careing Aaron (Celebeth) haha i think i know why we were planted at E99 now.... Evon, Abel and I are trying to unite the people over there juz like n256 which maybe a MAJOIR change in that cg. OH yes HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SEE WAN!!!!! I MISS U GUYS TERRIBLY!!! SIGH... GOD has put us in every cg to make a differnce in them.... i nid the know the food we eat at cg because then E99 is also trying to get different food... CANT WAIT FOR SEE WAN'S OREO CHEEEESEEEEEE CAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!! by the way i am also making muffins for them... =) Trying to make a differnce is not always easy you have to try your best to succeed in all the things that you do. Riding the Waves of Change

Hi, dearies.. I just want to share some lessons I have learned from changing CGs. This will be my 4th time, and probably not the last.

I know some of you are "first-timers" so I thought of imparting some words of wisdom to help you cope. Here are some things I came up with on the word CHANGE:

Cherish

Cherish every moment spent withN256. Cherish every friend you found here. Cherish every correction by our leaders and learn from it. Cherish your encounters with God while with this CG.

Cherish and you'll be even more thankful as you walk on the journey through life.

Honor

Some of you may not be in favor of the decision to reshuffle. But rest assured that great wisdom is imparted by God to our leaders. So continually honor them and honor your new leaders, and your new members.

Acceptance

Be accepting and kind towards one another. The people in your new CG may not be as you expected or as how you want them to be but learn to accept one another in love. Always dig out the best in them and in that process you'll see the best in you come out, too.

No Man Is An Island

Take ownership of your new CG. Find ways to serve and get involved. Not one person can do it all. The success of the CG is not dependent on the CGL or the connect group leaders but on every single member. Im so proud of you guys for making N256 a great CG that it is now.

Grow!

You're not meant to be a bean sprout kept in a tiny can. God wants you to be deeply rooted, to grow stronger and bear fruits for His glory. Not that we've been shaken out of some comfort zone, let's take this opportunity to grow and conquer grounds for Him! Grow corporately as a CG, too.. in quality and quantity!

Expect

Expect God to do exceedingly and abundantly above your own thinking and asking. Just be willing and obedient and you will see God move mightily, causing breakthroughs after breakthroughs to come for you.

So.. come on and let's surf above the waves of change and enjoy the ride! Don't be washed away by the tide and bury yourself in the sand. Hee.. =)

Spiritual warfare again ....

If this sounds like a repeat post ... IT ISN'T!!!!

So i want to comment on the issue of spiritual warfare
It is'nt something passive if that's what your thinking and it also does not require you running down orchard road hacking people with a sword.

Spiritual warfare is making war in the heavenlies as I may borrow from the song

So what is making war in the heavenlies, wel according to the Bible, we do not wage war against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers and rulers of this dark age.

Now, this does not mean you go around constantly casting out deamons out of every single thing around you. Nor praying against everything that may seem bad against you.

You may say, oh i am just a member of N256 and only 1 person out of 6 BILLION people in the world, what difference will I make ??

YOU MAKE THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE !!!!!!
the very fact that you do something will make a difference.

Now, I will start at the very basic level. Reading the word of the LORD,
so why is this important... BECAUSE IT IS !!!!
like in the wilderness when JESUS faced off with the devil
what was he doing ?! quoting from the scripture of God

the bible also says "the word of the LORD is LIVING and POWERFUL, it is SHARPER than any DOUBLE EDGED SWORD dividing soul and spirit, joint and marrow." and then you might say, oh of course I read the bible, i read it silently....

I quote from the bible again "Power of life and death reside in the TONGUE" !!!
the power of the toungue WILL (and i am extremely convicted on this) release the power of the word of the LORD. By reading out loud the word of the LORD the power residing in it will be released.

And through this reading outloud of the word you will also be able to remember bible verses easily. This is because your subconscious level AND conscious level are hearing the word at the same time. PS 1 says "meditate on the word of the LORD day and night" this word meditate in here means MUTTER. IT MEANS TO SPEAK TO SPEAK

WORDS ARE YOUR WEAPONS "the sword of the spirit, which is the WORD OF GOD"

when you are attacked by the Enemy, ie nightmares, difficult situations, night terror. Like JESUS, our author and finisher of our faith, use the word of the LORD as your weapon against it.

Also the word of the LORD brings FAITH and FAITH COMES BY HEARING !!!!! AND HEARING THE WORD OF THE LORD" speak out and then you will HEAR and gain FAITH... like praying in tongues, to build up our most holy faith, we cannot pray in tongues silently. IT IS RIDUCULOUS !!!! ABSURD !!! it must be VOCALISED!!! so the same with reading the word of the LORD.

It will open a new dimension for you...SERIOUSLY try it ... and you will understand.

THIS Isnt some psycho babble it is strongly supported by the bible just try it.

Now after all that, i will go on to my next point, PRAYER

the BIBLE says " If my people will HUMBLE themselves, to SEEK MY FACE and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS I WILL HEAL THEIR LAND !!!!"

what does it mean to heal our land... IT MEANS that people will prosper and the works of the devil will be hindered, by hindering the works of the Enemy, That is SPIRITUAL WARFARE. And there is probably no better way than to fight the devil than by prayer.

let me give you an example: IN Scotland quite a long time ago, there was a call to prayer, this was because the church was in decline. Karl Marx declared that Christianity will be lost in 10 years. However a man decided to pray for Scotland he continued and this brough more people to pray with him this group grew to about a hundred. And on one day while they were praying at 3 am in the morning, the power of God swept through the building like the book of Acts. like a rushing wind. The power of revival swept across the nation. Even people in America started to pray. A call to prayer was organized. Revival swept across Scotland and Britain and Even America.
During this time many scientific acievements were made through prayer. THIS IS THE POWER OF PRAYER!!!!!
However the fire of prayer waned and started to die off slowly so the revival ceased.

This proves that PRAYER IS IMPORTANT!!!

Err this isnt the end of my post on Spiritual warfare. I will come back and finish it . But I will post it first. look forward to more of ME !!!

Hey people of N256! I've read this on the internet. I find these interesting. Let's stand strong in our faith in Christ Jesus!

Spiritual Warfare: What is it?
Spiritual warfare exists in the unseen, supernatural dimension, where God is all-powerful and Satan is in revolt. As any Christian soon discovers, although spiritual warfare is unseen, it’s absolutely real. The Bible speaks of spiritual warfare in many places, but most directly in Ephesians 6:12, where Paul speaks of putting on the full armor of God: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Spiritual Warfare: How Do We Go Into Battle as Christians?
Spiritual warfare is an image that many of us would rather reject. However, since the Bible uses terms of warfare, it’s best that we accept God’s imagery, so that we’re properly prepared for real battle. As Christians, we’re going through more than a mere “struggle” on earth – and its seems that war imagery captures this reality better than anything else. Since it’s warfare, God instructs Christians to use a very specific set of armor and weapons in Ephesians 6:14-18:

“Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit...”

God’s list of weaponry is rather unique – these are “weapons of peace.”

Throughout the Bible, you will find examples of God’s weaponry in action. For instance, King Jehoshaphat sent out praise singers in front of his soldiers to cause disarray among the enemy; Joshua used singing and trumpets to bring down the great city of Jericho; and what better example of using faith in battle than David fighting Goliath with a slingshot. Of course, the lesson in all these examples (as in all spiritual warfare today) is that it’s only God who allows us to claim victory over evil!

Spiritual Warfare: Be Strong in the Lord
Spiritual warfare is a reality of the Christian life. But remember, we know the ending – our side wins. Since the Devil has already lost, he has nothing to lose in trying to take as many people with him in defeat.

Therefore:

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:10-11).

Why does God allow spiritual warfare?
Spiritual warfare is described in Ephesians 6:12: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Romans 7:23 explains that spiritual warfare is in the battlefield of our minds: "But I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members." Satan wages war within in our mind - planting seeds of doubt, fear, insecurities, worries, suspicions, and other anxieties.

God's Word tells us repeatedly to be strong (1 Kings 2:2, Isaiah 35:4, Haggai 2:4), to walk forward in faith, and trust God for His help. When we do this, He promises to be with us in the battle and help us overcome, no matter what situation we are facing. God is asking, "Will you believe My Word?"

1 Timothy 6:12 says that faith is essential in spiritual warfare: "Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses." We must prove that God has preeminence in our lives. 2 Chronicles 16:9 reiterates: "For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war."

God gives man free will. He wants man to love Him and desire to serve Him because of who He is, not because of what He does. Satan accused God of allowing this in His servants in the book of Job 1:9-11: "'Does Job fear God for nothing?' Satan replied. 'Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.'" Satan desires to prove to God that man will not remain loyal to Him. God, on the other hand, does trust in the faith of His followers. Satan needs God's permission to touch one of God's children. Job 2:6 says, "The LORD said to Satan, 'Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.'"

God gives permission because He desires to prove we can remain faithful. Job 2:3 reads: "Then the LORD said to Satan, 'Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.'"

In Christ, we can overcome spiritual warfare! By overcoming Satan in the battlefield of our mind, God provides us with spiritual armor, divine protection, and weapons to fight with. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says, "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." Just as the Bible tells us repeatedly to be strong, it promises us that when we do overcome the enemy, there is great reward. 1 John 5:4-5 says, "For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God."

Goh Si Ying aka GSY aka N256 Miss Sunshine.

Officially in August Si Ying is out of N256 to Children Church Ministry cg. When the news was announced many of them were shocked as they can't bear to see her leaving us. Even on her last cg with us, some cried non stop. Truly she has made her influence and impact in N256.

For almost 2.5yrs with N256, she has being a great help to me and to N256. She is a member and friend that I can teach and shared with her almost everything about the cg. During these years, seeing her grow in the Lord and breaking through in her own areas of comfort is something that can inspired many. Despite of her busy schedule in school, children church, family, tuition, cg, she is always giving her best for everything in order to Shine and be a good testimony for God. Her biggest breakthrough I felt for her last year was to enrol into SOT. This is one of a good testimony that can be shared and encouraged many. Who can imaged one who once faced strong PO to had Graduated from SOT. Who can imaged one going through the final year in NUS and SOT at the same time and passing all exams with flying colours.

With all these challenges, bit by bit her capacity was stretched and enlarged. From all these God is preparing her for a greater destiny. For one to be used by God and do great things for Him, must have the faith, willing to obey and even willing to sacrifice for God. And she is one who is willing to learn, always stepping out of her faith and having the right attitude even when she was being corrected. A type of member that all CGL will always be praying for.

Once again, Si ying thanks for all the things you have done for N256! I am believing with you for your greater breakthrough ahead and shine for God in your ministry =)

helloO!

since i've been talking so much about the camp i went. i figured i've gota put up a few pics about it to showcase how fUn it really is haha :p a picture tells a thousand words.

this is my awEsome grp of Spartans (few as we may seem) we all still had tons of fun together haha. sometimes got more ppl, but most ppl cannot stay that's y got so few in the pic

so dat's how i caught my sudden frenzy of photo taking. haha.

well, aside from the fun that we had (actually got many many more pics haha. and on top of pics, still got much more fun-filled times without pics too :p ) i also learnt quite alot frm the camp. one of my team mates was sharing about relationships and frenships. he said,

"i cherish relationships alot in my life because they are important. and why is it so important, its because when there is a strong relationship between people, its an exchanging of potential."
(the words are not exact, but the gist of wat i caught was along these lines)

when i first heard it, i was tinking, 'cool stuff, sounds good'. den on sat, during cg, i could feel someth different in me, like when taking photo, etc. i could feel more fun n excitement in me, and when i think back, i realise its something that i brought with me out of the camp; out of the people that i met there, we exchanged potential. woww.

its also the same with God. the more u pray, the more u fellowship with the Holy Spirit, the more u grow in Christlikeness, because u are growing ur relationship with God. that's why there is something different about leaders n pastors, its because they grow in Christ. so let's jiayou jiayou n keep on growing as a loving cellgroup and especially increase in our love for God k! :D

Camp was over but I am sure that those who attended the camp will not forget the things that you have learnt and ofcause the friendship that you have made.

The first night session was the Best of all! Presence of God was strong and tangible! Even when I was outside the AVA room during the time of P&W, I can felt the presence so strongly.

So many were touched and ministered by God during the ministry time!

And a special drama was prepared. Acted out by our very own ET Zone drama (based on the Lifehouse - Everything (Skit). Even when the leaders watched it. Many were moved and touched with tears.

Dinner at Bedok Blk 85... Yummy...

Hey lovelies!!! Haha... Guess what? After a week of fasting, Jin Lian and i got to enjoy a delicious dinner today! =)
After cg today,WeiLiang dropped me and Jin Lian at Bedok Blk 85 to meet 2 of my poly mates for a great dinner... Upon reaching, Jin Lian and i had the opportunity to choose a good seat as there weren't many people yet... hahax. Jin Lian was thirsty, so she ordered a cup of sugarcane juice while we waited for my 2 friends.
After 15 mins, my friends finally reached. We were so excited to order the food as there were a few "must try" food there. After discussing, we ordered a bowl of "ba chor mee" each, stingray, barbequed chicken wings and oyster omelette. Jin Lian paid for the stingray... Thanks Jin Lian! :)
We were so full after the sumptuous dinner! hahax. Felt like a fat pig after dinner... The stingray's really not bad. Let's go there together to eat someday ok?
At about 7.30pm, we parted our ways. Jin Lian and i headed to Bedok Interchange to walk walk... hehex. Tai Tai Jin Lian bought TWO pairs of shoes and a Korean DVD... hahax. We went home at about 9pm. Gotta wake up early to go service tomorrow! See ya! =D

just wanted to post about the testimony i shared during cg, which is also why i suddenly tagged the blog out of the blue on wed at 3+am? haha.

On wed midnight i was actually just practicing guitar in the living room, and my bro was next to me using computer. Typically, he ll just be stuck at his com all the way until he go slp.

This time, when i was practicing he was still using his com. But i just suddenly felt, "why should i just practice? Wouldn't it be better if i just worshipped God there and then?" So, I just started worshipping God in the living room with my bro around. True enough, God came into the place and touched my bro's heart; he switched off his com and joined me in worshipping God. Myself, i cried buckets of tears man.haha i duno about my bro because i was also being ministered to by God. but i'm really thankful and in awe of Him.

So, i really want to thank God for the door he opened into my bro's life, because he backslided, and, in a way, he does not really admit it. Even as He ministered to my bro, God led me in the worship, because while we were worshipping, God gave me words to speak to my bro and I prayed for him too. As for my bro, i could sense that he as very touched by God's presence and renewed in the spirit. Even when i thought of stopping, my bro still took the guitar and continued to worship! wOw! praise God man!

Initially, i think we started around 1230am?? But when finally we stopped worshipping, it was 315am leh! Indeed, amazing!

Really hope that you all will be encouraged to be bold for Christ, to "move in the Spirit". When God wants u to do something, do it. Its not easy, and it takes time to actually do it. But God has given us a spirit of faith, not of fear. And, just like in cg, we learnt about having faith, that as we diminish, God will increase. So, (pro 3:5-6) trust in God and He shall direct your paths! Amen!

Complaining?

This means we need to increase our capacity in that area.

Complaining is the language of victims.

We complain when we feel we have no control over negative circumstances.

How's exams/ preparations coming along? (:
Dont be weary ya, good results are on their way!

Anyway, i want to share about prayer..
Coz the church has been preaching alot on prayer, whether it's in service or cellgrp.
And i admit, it's speaking to me because i am not really disciplined to pray.
When I know i should, but i procrastinate.
When times i feel tired and do it out of obligation.
But really the past few weeks, i really begin to put in effort in my prayer life, my relationship with God.
And things really changed as prayer becomes so enjoyable as i begin to spend my time with the one i love the most.
and i never knew how prayer could be so enjoyable!
It was like i don't want to end this intimate time we have together.
And i fell in love with God all over again..
God's not just my Lord, my Saviour, my Father.
Not just my Daddy God, but my PAPA!

Encourage all of you to pray and make it a one-to-one moment with God.
Love it, enjoy it!

Went to PLANET SHAKERS CONCERT at expo hall 10 on Friday. There was a place for non tickets admission and a sign, admission for tickets holder. My friend and i queued at the non tickets holder. The queue was quite long but praise God we managed to get in and sat about 10m away from the stage. =D Many people from different churches gathered together and worship the God of the universe . COOL RIGHT?!! (:

I wanna say that singing worship songs, we're not singing about us. I mean its not about us but is for a special someone. And the special someone is God. Worship is all about Him =) The presence of God in the Hall was really strong and I felt refreshed. Definitely a concert which you will never regret going to! (:

My miricle happen on this week tuesday morning, i was overslept in the morning and wake up at 7.15am,this is where the time i should report to the school time,unexpected,that i will wake up at 7.15am i was totally in the messed,while i changing my attire i was praying that i will not be late to school,when i came out of my house i look at the clock is 7.20am than i quickly rush down to my school, as i walk quickly to my school gate and i were to enter the gate the bell start to range. I was thankful to god that even my little prayer to him but he really help me to fulfill my little prayer when i having a rush time. I am sure that through every single prayer when you pray to him he will help you to fulfill every prayer that you made to him.

Seven benefits of blogging to your personal growth

How do you consider blogging?

Some people consider it as a waste of time, some people think that it’s a way to run from reality to cyberspace, but it’s not necessarily so. In fact, some people are serious about blogging and consider it as a hobby, channeling their passion and hobby on writing, or better still as a business they want to grow, business that they can run from home. Similarly, blogging is something that you can start as long as you like to learn and share information. You can even start without spending so much capital.

Particularly, personal development blogging has many benefits that I have enjoyed, it does come with a price, time and energy to do it, but you can gain much by doing it with passion and persistence. I have not tasted the returns in terms of money but I do have tasted the benefit in terms of personal development and growth.

In this post, I will distribute the seven benefits of blogging into two areas, blogging as a hobby, and blogging as a business. Both will help you to your personal growth.

When blogging is your hobby

1. You’re becoming better at words

This is particularly useful for the introverts, introverts do complain on how they’re not so good with words, especially when they have to speak. Writing is much more comfortable because we can think without pressure for the right words to say, and also for the opportunity to undo the statements. Here is a quote from Robert Cornier that I read from the The-Write-Biz.com…

The beautiful part of writing is that you don’t have to get it right the first time, unlike, say, a brain surgeon. You can always do it better, find the exact word, the apt phrase, the leaping simile.

In a way, I started blogging as a channel for my passion to lead and create, passion for information-sharing, yet I’ve been baffled so many times by my limitation, especially the confidence in speaking and relating with people. Blogging in a way has helped me to use and think about putting the right words, sentences and grammars. As I am getting more comfortable with words, as I write, practically I am more comfortable to speak with words, soon the confidence will follow.

2. You declare your dream

Declaration is the insights I have got from T. Harv Eker, in his book, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, it’s about how we can declare our dream, even when we have not achieved it. Why declaration is better? Because declaration is simply more accepted by our little voice, it’s easier to say, “I am in the process of being more generous” instead of “I am a generous person”.

Similarly, what I blog is the declaration, things that I’m dreaming to become, the right attitude to have, the right way to behave and the right thing to do. It’s true that writing is much easier than doing. But I also believe that “declaring” also means “pursuing”, as long as we never quit and give up, with time we are going to become a better person.

3. You remind yourself

It’s also a great step of becoming a better person, it is about learning from your failure. To learn, it’s not enough with a promise not to repeat only, we also need to make some actions to ensure that we really learn from our failure. Jonathan Frye from LeadershipJot.com has shared some great insights about how writing can actually help, what you need to write is your action plan, what you have to do while you are facing the situation again.

Similarly, besides being a declaration, blogging will also make the principles and the things you share will actually sticks in your mind, you will remember it fully, and it will help you choosing to do the right things given the situation you face!

When blogging is your business

When your blog is a business, it’s no longer about you! It’s about how your blog can have quality content and how it can reach as many readers as possible. It’s just like having your own business, where you have to start by disciplining yourself, improving your content value; ensure that it brings value to your readers, and eventually forming a network, promoting it, advertising it and marketing your blog. Here is what you can learn from the process.

4. Learn to learn

When you aim to provide greater value for your readers, you have to learn more. It’s a life when you are on the lookout for more opportunity to learn, to get more insights and wisdom to be shared with your readers. It’s the time when you start putting notes on the book you have read, keeping an idea journal, recording ideas before it passed away.

Every day you will look forward to an opportunity to learn from any resources, and it’s quite amazing to see that sometimes we can even find wisdom not through books or audios but from our daily conversation with friends, from circumstances that happens around us, and even from negative experiences.

5. Learn to help

When it’s a business, your focus is no longer you, the focus is others, what you are writing may not make sense to you, but your writing is about helping others. Here is a quote that has been shared by Michelle Vandepas, over at DivinePurposeUnleashed.com, quoting on Chris over on soupornuts.

In order to help yourself, you must help others. There’s no better long-term strategy to achieving your success. As Dr. Phil would say, “It ain’t about YOU!” Become a listener and a people person. Help others and then help yourself indirectly.

It’s practically also the reason I’m putting “Helping introvert to be successful” in my motto, to ensure the blog will focus on helping my readers. I have seen it, and believe it, from the experience of helping others; indirectly you’re growing yourself, developing yourself to be a better person.

6. Learn to promote and network

My first experience in promoting my blog offline is in the Millionaire Mind Seminar by T. Harv Eker, where there a lot of networking opportunities; most of them are having business that they are promoting with. And that point of time, I have a feeling that… “Hey! I have a business to promote too, it is my blog!” That’s the time I felt the need of having a name card even as a blogger, to help me promote my blog offline, it’s so fun to see that actually now I have something tangible to promote with me, it may not be a big business yet, but it’s something that we can start promoting. As I don’t have any name card, I started giving my blog email instead of my Gmail account.

Chris Bloczyncski has also shared an article of the value of offline networking as an internet marketer. From the experience, it will help you experience and practice selling and promoting. In the start, I’m quite shy and not comfortable telling others that I blog, but eventually I’m getting more and more comfortable with it, to let others, my friends and the new people I meet to know about my own business, business of providing self improvement help and inspiration, my business of blogging.

Promoting and networking doesn’t work only with showing off what you have, it’s also about giving. This is also your opportunity to learn to give, similar as other relationship, business has relationship of giving and takes as well, blogging lets you relate with other blogger, and each of them has their own vision, networking also requires you to give and support what they are promoting. Donald from MakingSalesMakingMoney has a great article in explaining the power of giving, especially in the networking through social media.

7. Learn to experience and give example

Last but not least, blogging for a business will also require you to do it with trustworthiness, with integrity! Especially important as I write about personal development, a lot of time I am challenged to do what I am sharing in the blog, to really experience and give example, to share more in the blog, and personally being an example for my readers to see. Sometimes I use this principle to fight my little voice that keeps telling me not to do something, saying that I have to do it so that I can experience it and share it with integrity.

In conclusion

You may consider blogging as a hobby, but even more you can consider it as a business, that way you are more aware of the personal development that you really need. A Great Weekend

This year Easter i enjoyed myself very much. Our Church drama I-Ming was fantistic! It was nice, humourous and touching. Definately one of the BEST production i had seen so far and i don't feel tired of watching it again and again.

Most importantly this drama really touched and opened up many of the friends heart for this easter. Plus the powerful sermon preached by Pst Kong & Tan indeed drawn many to God.

N256 had a breakthrough and we invited many friends too. Glad they came and i'm sure they were blessed as well.

On Sunday together with E99 and W351, we chartered a bus to Dhoby Ghaut exchange for lunch at Justcia.

Finally we reached the place. This is the menu of what we had. For every set meal order comes with free flow of drinks and Ice-cream.

What is the origin of Easter? How does Easter egg come about?

The name “Easter” has its roots in ancient polytheistic religions (paganism). On this, all scholars agree. This name is never used in the original Scriptures, nor is it ever associated biblically with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For these reasons, we prefer to use the term "Resurrection Sunday" rather than "Easter" when referring to the annual Christian remembrance of Christ's resurrection.

Ancient Origin

Most reference books say that the name "Easter" derived from the Eastre, the Teutonic goddess of Spring. Although this relationship exists, in reality, the origin of the name and the goddess are far more ancient - going all the way back to the Tower of Babel. The origin begins not long after the biblical Flood.

The Flood was a divine judgment sent on mankind after evil had become all pervasive and all people everywhere were totally unresponsive to God. The Bible says that "the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually" (Genesis 6:5, NKJV). It is not difficult to imagine that life must have been almost unbearable at this time in history. God gave humankind a second chance by preserving the righteous man Noah and his family (a total of 8 people).

After the Flood, Noah had a talented, but evil, great-grandson named Nimrod (Genesis 10:6-10) who rebelled greatly against God. The Bible says that he was "a mighty one" Jewish tradition indicates that Nimrod was a tyrant "who made all of the people rebellious against God." It is evident from history that Nimrod was not only a political leader, but also the lead priest of a form of occultic worship.

Nimrod built and organized major cities. The Bible notes that these included Babel, Asshur, Nineveh and Calah (Genesis 10:10-12). If you know anything about ancient history, the mention of these places may send shivers up your spine. For these were cities of great, almost unimaginable practices and perversion.

When Nimrod eventually died, the Babylonian mystery religion in which he figured prominently continued on. His wife Queen Semiramis saw to that. Once he was dead, she deified him as the Sun-god. In various cultures he later became known as Baal, the Great Life Giver, the god of fire, Baalim, Bel, Molech, etc.

“Later, when this adulterous and idolatrous woman gave birth to an illegitimate son, she claimed that this son, Tammuz by name, was Nimrod reborn.” Semiramis “claimed that her son was supernaturally conceived [no human father] and that he was the promised seed, the 'savior'” - promised by God in Genesis 3:15. “However, not only was the child worshipped, but the woman, the MOTHER, was also worshipped as much (or more) than the son!” Nimrod deified as the god of the sun and father of creation. Semiramis became the goddess of the moon, fertility, etc.

"In the old fables of the Mystery cults, their 'savior' Tammuz, was worshipped with various rites at the Spring season. According to the legends, after he was slain [killed by a wild boar], he went into the underworld. But through the weeping of his mother… he mystically revived in the springing forth of the vegetation - in Spring! Each year a spring festival dramatically represented this supposed 'resurrection' from the underworld.

Thus, a terrible false religion developed with its sun and moon worship, priests, astrology, demonic worship, worship of stars associated with their gods, idolatry, mysterious rites, human sacrifice, and more. Frankly, the practices which went on were so horrible that it is not fitting for me to speak of them here.

It was at Nimrod's city of Babel that a towering structure was first built in defiance of God as part of their Satanic religion. Archaeological evidence indicates that this was a spectacular pyramid-shaped structure (ziggurat). The Bible tells us that at this time there was only one language in the world and that most of the world's population centered in this area and participated in this religion. It was evident to God that all mankind would soon degenerate into a level of evil that would parallel that of the pre-Flood world. For humanity's sake, something had to be done to slow and frustrate this organization of an evil one world, tyrannical government.

God confused their language, so that they could not understand each other (Genesis 11:7). (This is the ultimate source of the world's many languages.) As a result, many people moved away from the area in groups according to their particular new language. Most, if not all, of these people carried their evil Sun-God-based religion with them. They continued to worship the stars and practice all the other ungodly rituals of their religion. Some also continued to build pyramids reminiscent of the Tower of Babel as part of this mystery religion. Today, we can still find remnants of these throughout the world (e.g., Iraq, South America, Central America, Egypt, Burma).

Babel was the origin of an idolatrous system that swept the world. The Bible says of her, “Babylon… the nations drank her wine; Therefore the nations are deranged” (Jeremiah 51:7). The Bible often speaks of the Satanic religions which came from her. The ancient Greek historian Herodotus "witnessed the Mystery religion and its rites in numerous countries and mentions how Babylon was the primeval source from which ALL systems of idolatry flowed. Austen Layard said “that we have the united testimony of sacred and profane history that idolatry originated in the area of Babylonia - the most ancient of religious systems.”

Basically, almost every vile, profane and idolatrous practice you can think of originated at Babel with Queen Semiramis, the Mother Goddess and Nimrod. As the people scattered from Babel with their different languages, they, of course, used different names for Nimrod (Tammuz) and Semiramis. Some called the Mother Goddess “ISHTAR” (originally pronounced “Easter”). In other lands, she was called Eostre, Astarte, Ostera, and Eastre. Of cause to us as Christian, easter is more that just about easter eggs.

It is the celebration of Jesus resurrection! A celebration of many salvations!

It's a great opportunity not to be missed to share with your love ones (families & friends) about JESUS!

Personally I'm excited for this Easter! With two drama production this year in our church. One in Expo and another in JW.

Can't wait to see the drama, to hear the preaching of P. Kong and of cause seeing the salvation of many friends.

well ...peeps here's the lowdown .... it is long after valentine's and it is not approaching any major holiday... well yes we all are, well maybe not all af us are still celebrating about our red packets ( of course about all that cash inside). and as we approach march at full speed ahead i think that we all just need some time to slow down. you know .... like spend time with yourself.

haha ... enough of the pep talk that's what i did today. just time with ME yes ME alone with ME. so yup it was'nt say the most intresting time However i went out walked the streets of orchard road ... enjoying my LAST day of FREEDOM before going back to school. And what better way to spend it than to go to the library and sit and read(BTW being EXTREMELY sarcastic here). i mean what ... seriously WHAT man would spend his last day of freedom like that. I mean like if you tell a guy that he was going to jail tomorrow i bet ya that he DEFINITELY NOT go to the library. But oh well what is donw can't be undone. and to quote the famous annonomous "C'est la vie" well the meaning is that maybe you should go and check it out .... (it's french BTW).

Tomorrow I am starting school. Brilliant. I love School... no really ... yes i know you think i am kidding ... No i am very certian about this. i LOVE school. i mean friends to talk rubbish with, the complaining of the teacher loading us with tons of homework and of course STUDENT FARE !!! Yes sad to say but i mean don't you just love it whereever you travel you just pay a mere 45 or 55 cents. I mean paying 1 dollar plus is ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS !!!!! LUDICROUS AND TOTALLY DISPICABLE. not that i am saying that the government is unreasonable but ***********************************censored*****************************************
Anyway can't wait to start school. Yes it does seem that i am just blathering on. But just bear with me.... yes i know you can't but just try. oh yes by the way i am listening to a brilliant artist : jamie cullum while ranting. So back to me, and yes i am that egoistic. Anyway i would like to rant on several other things. Ghij in the house, yo!!!

Im sure all of you had a great F4 time this season! I spent the holis with my family (Mom & buddy bros) cleaning the house, playing sports, cycling, park-strolling, cooking & going on DVD marathon. Sadly, Papa had to work 12 hours everyday for one week. But we'll make it up on Sat night though..

I wanted to post our latest photos here but my office computer doesnt have a slot for mem card. It's Friday and Im working by the way, but just for a few hours. Hee..

Anyways, the reason for me dropping by is to encourage you all to invest in your families...your time, energy, finances, etc.. anything that you've got to offer. When I was in my younger years, I hate being home coz of all the nagging from parents, countless chores to do..not to mention seeing my irritating brothers!

But then things changed.. and I thank God for knocking sense into me after I graduated from college. If I want to see my family situation change, it better start with me. Think of it this way. You wont be living with your family under the same roof all your life. As the song goes, "You dont know what you've got til it's gone.." So why wait for that time when you can enjoy it right here, right now?!

Oh well, that's all I have for now, folks! Happy F4!!!
